CONST 391 Course Syllabus
Overview
Students in this course learn the styles and techniques of creating a construction schedule by breaking down the project scope and developing schedule activities, durations, and a network of logical relationships to calculate projected start and finish dates. (3 credit hours)
This course has one primary objective--to prepare you to create and manage construction schedules in Primavera P6. A Senior Project Manager at one of our key employers stated, "Advanced scheduling is one of the biggest needs for field-focused construction managers. Their ability to read, build, and analyze schedules and production is imperative to their success."

Expectations
Feedback
You can expect to receive grades and feedback within 7 days of the due date for all assignments.
Workload
This is a 3-credit course. It is expected that you will spend 9 to 12 hours a week working on the course.
Group Work
This class has a discussion board where you can ask questions of your fellow students to help you better understand your assignments.
Remember, however, that all of your work must be your own. In other words, you must be the sole person creating your projects in Primavera P6, making all necessary configurations, data entry, and other actions required to complete your assignments and projects. Submitting someone else's work is a violation of the honor code and will result in an automatic course failure and referral to the Honor Code Office.
Late Work
As a sign of professionalism and respect, you should complete your work on time. Timeliness is a key aspect of the construction industry. No late work will be accepted unless prearranged with your instructor.
