Instructions

At the same time you take PC 103, you will also take the first course of a certificate that builds into a degree. This activity helps you explore fields of study you might be interested in. BYU-Pathway Worldwide students earn certificates and degrees in the following fields. 

  • Business. Lead in a variety of business settings.
  • Technology. Develop, support, and administer technology. 
  • Communication. Communicate information across organizations to get results.
  • Health. Plan and implement public health measures.
  • Marriage & Family. Deepen understanding of healthy marriage and families, or family history.

Work Setting

As you think about the future, consider how you can apply what you are learning today in a work setting. If you don't work, consider getting a small job soon or even working for yourself. If you don't plan to work soon or at all, consider volunteer work in places where you can apply lessons from this course. Work settings are great places to continue the Learning Model, especially the step called "Ponder and Prove."

  2. Open the document called Certificates and Degrees. Notice how the certificates that build into each degree are listed? Explore some of the fields that interest you by clicking on the links. Certificates that are not linked will not be available to you when you take PC 103. You will register for your first certificate course when you take PC 102.
  3. Read web page called "Recommended Degree Plans ."
  4. Complete the quiz.
