Overview

The multiplication and division exercises this week are to math as doing piano scales are for a pianist. Even a concert pianist may start their daily practice by playing a series of notes up and down the piano keys to warm up their fingers. They make it look like a simple task, but playing scales quickly and without mistakes actually takes a lot of practice. Knowing your multiplication facts also takes a lot of practice, but having them memorized will greatly help you as you study math. The source of many people’s frustration with math isn’t with the processes, but stems from their lack of quick recall of multiplication facts.

Use these exercises to help you strengthen your multiplication fact skills. You can do this by taking the exercises over and over again, or by memorizing the facts with flashcards.
